Pairing up with Documentary Channel and 291 Film Company, I wrote this interactive digital essay to introduce audiences to entomophagy (bug eating), a culinary practice that’s common across the globe, but that makes North Americans feel queasy. The challenge was breaking down barriers to entry and making crickets look delicious. “Bugs on the Menu” was nominated for a 2017 Canadian Screen Award (best cross-platform project).
